Pilot control behaviour

Provides information on the behaviour of the controlled variable with a changing reference variable, but constant disturbance variable.

The controlled variable responds to external effects on the control circuit (reference variables) differently depending on their nature and location. In agreements on the pilot control behaviour it is necessary to state information on the nature and location of the reference variable (according to DIN 19 226).

The pilot control behaviour can be significantly affected by suitable controller concepts. The damping in a closed circuit position control system can be removed to a large extent by feeding back the velocity and acceleration (Figure F 37).
