Closed loop synchronisation control

Closed loop position control system with several actuators that move synchronously.

In control systems there are various ways of realising this action: in the simple form the first actuator can be open loop controlled and the second closed loop controlled, where the actual value of the open loop controlled drive element is the setpoint for closed loop controlled drive element. It is also possible to use closed loop control for all drives and to operate them with the same setpoint. In addition, the differences between the position actual values (synchronisation error) can be used in the control system to increase the synchronisation accuracy (e.g. master-slave principle). The closed loop synchronisation control can be implemented electrically (Figure G 16) or mechanically. Example: press brakes.
