Here is a brief overview of selected HAWE products at WindEnergy 2024:

Hydraulic pitch module

With a hydraulic pitch drive, the angles of the rotor blades are adjusted using hydraulic cylinders. This optimizes the energy yield and at the same time reduces the mechanical load on the wind turbine, which extends its service life.

The HAWE pitch module consists of the cylinders, hydraulic accumulators, control blocks with a highly dynamic and precise proportional valve, directional and pressure valves. If required, it is supplemented by the necessary piping, hoses and fittings as plug&play solution.

Visualization of brake pressure characteristics

Our new measurement model is used to visualize pressure rise and pressure drop characteristics on yaw brakes by changing the parameters of the installed hydraulic components. The requirements of wind turbine manufacturers are becoming increasingly demanding and even a proportional control system is already at the experimental stage. In this way, much more expensive wind turbine components can be protected and their service life extended.

Tool-operated pump for rotor brake

A rotor brake is currently operated with a hand pump in the event of a loss of voltage or maintenance. The low delivery volume of this requires a high number of pump strokes. This is often physically strenuous. To avoid this, HAWE Hydraulik has developed a tool-operated hand pump with which the necessary brake pressure can be built up without great effort using a ratchet or even a cordless screwdriver.
