Thermoplastic elastomers

A newer group of materials between elastomers and thermoplastics: They have the properties of an elastomer up to approximately 70° C (high strength, good elasticity), but react like thermoplastics at high temperatures. They do not need any linking. The most important representative is the increasingly important group of polyurethane elastomers (AU or PUR). They have excellent elastic properties (wear resistance, elasticity). They can be processed by way of casting or injection.
