Analogue signal processing

Characteristic of analogue signal processing is the predominant usage of progressive function blocks for processing analogue signals. It requires, at least during the control of continuous processes, less effort, provided only relatively little signal processing is necessary, however if there is a large number of operators it is more expensive than digital signal processing. Analogue signal processing is also in general poorer in relation to accuracy, linearity and zero point behaviour. The risk of transmission errors is also higher.
